1. Ownership of Content

• •You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or store in RedInkAI.
• •RedInkAI does not claim ownership over your intellectual property.
• •By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service (e.g., storing manuscripts, generating guidance, creating InkTrail logs).
• •We do not use your content to train AI models.

3. InkTrail and Authorship Records

RedInkAI logs AI interactions ("InkTrail") including prompts, responses, timestamps, source labels, and hash-chain data for:

• •Traceability and verifiable proof of your authorship process
• •Generation of attestation reports and Cognitive Audit Reports
• •Billing and usage tracking
• •Service improvement (aggregated, non-identifying patterns only)

InkTrail records are hash-chained (SHA-256) and immutable once a session is closed. Closed sessions cannot be edited or deleted, as this would undermine the evidentiary value of your authorship record.

4. Account Responsibilities

• •You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• •You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• •You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• •You are responsible for all activity under your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use RedInkAI to:

• •Create content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, or violates others' rights
• •Attempt to circumvent security measures, hash chains, or trail integrity
• •Use the Service to misrepresent AI-generated content as entirely human-authored (this contradicts the purpose of InkTrail)
• •Access other users' data without authorization
• •Engage in automated scraping or bulk access of the Service

6. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds

• •RedInkAI offers free and paid tiers: Free (10 credits), Premium ($29/month), and Professional ($149/month).
• •Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
• •Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• •Credit purchases are non-refundable once credits have been used.
• •Unused credits on cancelled accounts may be refunded at RedInkAI's discretion.
• •We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

• •You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
• •Account data is deleted within 30 days of a verified request.
• •InkTrail records tied to active attestations are retained for 7 years (these are legal evidence of your authorship).
• •You may export your data (manuscripts, InkTrail logs) at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

• •The RedInkAI platform, brand, design, and documentation are owned by RedInkAI Studio.
• •The InkTrail system, VCI framework, and attestation methodology are proprietary.
• •You may not reproduce, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without written permission.

9. Termination

• •You may terminate your account at any time.
• •We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or pose security risks.
• •Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Data retention follows the schedule in our Privacy Policy.

• •These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
• •Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
• •If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules.
• •You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
